Raw Product Infeed through Husking
iNTELLIPRO HUSKER
Are you getting 30+ percent seed / kernel loss?
You shouldn’t be.
PROEX FOOD knows corn, including seed corn processing. Several of our engineers have decades of experience properly configuring husker bed for various seed varietals. We also know how to optimize air cleaners for maximum performance, and have many more options for your line.
We also have several proprietary technologies to improve your husking efficiency, decrease premature shelling and set you on the path to ultimate profitability
Fresh and processed sweet corn is a little different
Seed Equipment
Every product and line is a little different. Here are just a few of the more common items. We can help all the way through husking, offering solutions that mitigate premature shelling and improve your husking efficiency.
Vibrating infeed hopper to spread out and streamline your processes. Multiple options, depending on the way trucks deliver product to your facility.
A pre-cleaner before product enters your facility. Air jets create a plenum that helps remove loose husk leaves and other light debris prior to processing. Helps with husker performance.
Look through each and every cob prior to husking. Grade every one, and remove defect product so you don’t waste any time and energy on it.
Can be used on certain capacity seed processing lines to either sort product based on kernel conditions, or to integrate with robotic saw loading.
Requires iNTELLIPRO™ SCANNING.
Have a robot load each cob onto a saw to remove any shanks and also to cut to near the first row of kernels.
This helps reduce husking time and re-husking, which helps mitigate product loss due to premature shelling
Manage load distribution into each infeed shaker to reduce overload. Helps streamline performance and reduce time on husker / premature shelling.
PROEX FOOD Engineers designed our infeed pan with a better W design that spreads out product more evenly across the discharge to the husker.
These units are also equipped with laminate reaction springs, which are better at even spread and remove the need for bearings, while reducing noise.
Our shaker can also be equipped wtih a seed saver, as long as it is not a variable discharge model.
Our advanced, modern husker with digital-connected options, 1 3/4″ shafts and rolls to reduce flex and soldiering, and improve your husking.
This technology allows you to dial in your operation. Add another tool that helps you further mitigate your premature shelling.
Our seed huskers are made from galvanized steel, and typically ship in a couple months.
As one of our customers recently put it: sounds modern, and like it will be much cheaper to operate and maintain.
A vision system and delta robot is used to identify cobs that need to be re-husked. Gentle touch end-of-tool is used to move the product to the re-cycle conveyor.
This is much less damaging to the cob than a typical color sorter. You recover more product.
Integrated, single point controls that manage your whole line. Simple HMI touchscreens and emergency stop buttons.
