Product Description
Air Cleaners are used on various unprocessed products such as unhusked corn, beans and other vegetables to separate and remove loose loose trash and heavy debris from the raw product.
Operation
Product is conveyed onto the vibratory infeed pan which evenly distributes the product. Some configurations use a three drop system where the good product is lifted over the first chamber while any heavy debris, such as rocks, falls down for removal. As the good product is lifted, any loose trash is then blown into the air chamber where it eventually settles and falls down for removal. Other configurations use a two drop system where good product is passed over the air flow, which lifts out any loose stalks or other field trash.
Benefits
Seed Corn & Sweet Corn: Removes field trash, minimizing wear and increasing production on the huskers. This also reduces kernel damage, as the husker becomes more efficient and less produce needs to be re-husked.
Beans: Removal of stones from the flow creates less damage to further processing equipment. Removal of field trash allows increased
efficiency in snippers and washers as the beans are better exposed.
Other: Variable model types allow removal of any loose trash and heavy debris from product flow.
